The Advent of the Ethereal.
Tan estúpido es el que no teme a lo desconocido como el que deja que ese miedo le paralice. Tan esclavo el que domina como el que se deja dominar. El mundo está hecho para hombres y mujeres capaces de aceptar que el mundo no está hecho sólo para ellos.

Historia

Año 2012. Iván Cornet, un joven y brillante científico, descubre una carpeta en un cajón del viejo escritorio de su padre. Al principio, todo eran anotaciones sin sentido, cálculos matemáticos complejos adornados con dibujos junto a otros cálculos aún más complejos que los anteriores. Pero, si durante un tiempo estuvo tentado de abandonar, la curiosidad se lo impidió. ¿Qué habría querido decir su padre, desaparecido hacía casi diez años, con todo aquello?

Pronto lo descubrió: en algún punto del océano, entre toda aquella masa de agua, había un portal, un acceso a otro mundo. El cómo era aquél lugar no podía saberlo, su padre no había dejado fotos pero, a juzgar por lo que leía, era un lugar muy distinto a la Tierra. Infinitamente distinto.

Desde ese momento, se propuso llegar a aquel lugar siguiendo los cálculos de su padre. Quizá, incluso, con un poco de suerte, acabasen reuniéndose; padre e hijo, Cornet y Cornet, como en los viejos tiempos. Movido por aquella nueva energía, el joven reunió a un equipo de sus mejores investigadores y científicos y comenzó a trabajar en el proyecto. El proyecto que, casi un año después, estaba terminado.

Todos embarcaron con decisión, aunque internamente tampoco podían evitar sentir algo de miedo. ¿Y si algo había salido mal? Pero no habían recorrido todos aquellos pasos para rendirse ahora; además, aquella podía ser la única vía para encontrar a su padre. Sin flaquear, Iván se aferró firmemente al timón mientras el barco avanzaba más y más hacia el horizonte...
